It’s timeless, and captivating.   Golf’s founding father “Old Tom Morris” had it. It’s defiant, yet beloved. The legendary Payne Stewart had it too.   There will always be golf.   And there will always be argyle.

The classic cool of Antigua’s Argyle Range Sweater Vest takes well deserved glory to a whole new level.   You’ll feel the difference as soon as you put it on.   And you’ll look like a person with more interesting stories to tell, both on and off the golf course.

Argyle Allure
There’s something special about an argyle vest.   It has a subtle power of suggestion.   It makes a man wearing it look at ease.   A famous golfer once said argyle makes him think more clearly.   Who doesn’t need that?

“The philosophy during the development cycle is that each garment be built to stand alone - as though you were creating someone’s ‘favorite’ piece – and build those pieces out to assemble a full collection of favorites,” says Antigua Head Designer, Sean Gregg.

The Antigua Argyle Range Sweater Vest is part of Antigua’s fall/winter Performance Golf Collection, but it’s a welcome sight no matter the season.   I’ve worn it comfortably in temperatures as cool as 40 degrees layered with a turtleneck, and as warm as 75 degrees with mock short sleeve turtlenecks, and polo shirts.

And what I love most about the Antigua Range is you can walk right off the golf course and meet your friends for dinner or a night out and not miss a beat.   The Antigua Range is functional performance apparel.   It’s also stylish lifestyle apparel.

Color Story Compliments
The Antigua Range is available in four distinct color groups, Keylime/Smoke, Berry/Steel, Wedgewood/Black, and White/Silver.  And each color group represents a different chapter in the Antigua“story of color.”

Keylime for example pairs an electric keylime green with shades of gray and every shade of neutral to form an unexpectedly pleasing palette.   And so in addition to finding the Range Vest in this category, you’ll also find The Viper Desert Dry full zip jacket, the Titan crew neck sweater, and the Versus polo.

The Viper zip jacket features color contrast on the chest inset with an invisible zip pocket, on seam hip pockets, and a stand up self collar.

The Titan crew neck sweater features an argyle front panel, and contrast chain stitch detail.

And the short sleeve mesh Versus polo features Desert Dry Xtra-Lite moisture management technology.

“[Each color group offers] a wide selection of shirts, shorts, outerwear and hats, so any piece from this group may be combined with any others to create a fashion-forward golf ensemble that's both simple and elegant,” says Gregg.

Show Me The Good Stuff
Few things are more disappointing than finding a new sweater you like only to discover later it’s made from cheap material or poorly constructed.   I’m pleased to report the Antigua Range is neither of these.

A remarkable achievement in both quality and workmanship, the Antigua Range is a 60% viscose, 40% cotton, 10 gauge v-neck sweater vest with ribbed neck, armhole, and bottom openings.   The cotton-viscose blend is designed to maximize the performance of your golf swing by making it breathable and flexible.

"We are constantly pushing the envelope in the development of new fabrics, ensuring that we are staying current and contemporary in both style and color,” says Gregg.

The gauge means the weave is tight and won’t snag, it’s durable.   In fact, I’ve worn my Antigua Range most of autumn, through the winter, had it dry cleaned it twice, and (though not recommended) even machine washed it (delicate cycle and hang dry).  And it still looks just like new - a sure sign of top quality.

The front panel diamonds and patterns align perfectly.   And the neckline (black trim), armholes (keylime trim), and waistline (black trim) ribbings are all stitched as one piece into the body (as opposed to being individual pieces sewn in separately).   No matter what the sweater, one piece stitching will always give you the most natural drape and best possible fit.   Antigua does it the right way.

The Antigua Advantage
You’re getting high end comfort, style, and quality with the Antigua Range.   And whether you’re just looking for an introduction to Antigua, or adding another piece to your Antigua apparel collection, you really owe it to yourself to check this charismatic sweater vest out.

The Antigua Range is dynamic in design and appearance.   You can layer it with polos, turtlenecks, and short-sleeve mocks, in colder days and warmer days.   And of course, it’s argyle.   And argyle is as much a part of the game as the clubs we use, and the courses we play.

So go ahead, rock the Antigua Range.   Good things are bound to happen.
